Remember after year six, Beamer had a 24-38-1 record in Blacksburg

There was a feeling that anybody that could blow a whistle likely could be a better coach then Beamer was.

They’ve been buried. But there was a highly critical collegiate times article written that fall. As well as plenty of scathing commentary from the pen of Hokie hater bill brill in the Roanoke times.

One name thrown around was Steve Logan, a new hire at East Carolina
